Well, that might be unfair of me actually. But she wrote to PaulDS requesting one, based on that one post that pissed her off, and now he's assigning them.

I respectfully disagree for an appointed CL on the BP board...with being a bipolar individual it would cause erratic uncalled triggers that is eccentially the make-up of BP...we neither know from one day to the next on which way our mood or our mental stability is going to swing...one of the massive triggers for any one of us is being unfairly judged, and does make it hard for us to come to terms with the disorder itself...
all of the people that have come to DS want to feel safe, and secure in the knowledge that they will get the help that is required, in saying this it comes hand in hand that many people will also be frustrated and vent, disagree, and so forth...we are only human...
bipolar disorder is not one that is as complex as others...it is one that is very unpredictable, and can not be controled when we are out of sorts...it not only affects us mentally, and emotionally, but also physically, and environmentally...
part of the make-up is also going unhinged, and if our threads get deleted off the board, when most of our family and friends can not understand us, then it would definately put the individual in a very stressed position, and also under the threat of suicide...

She jumped on me for making a comment that was sarcastic and had NOTHING to do with her...she made a personal attack on me, FIRST and I attacked back...saying that I had a stick up my ass or something like that.

And I would like to add, that the post HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HER! She stuck her nose in where it didn't belong, and made it all about her. I am now friends with the OP of that thread and we are good.

It was right after that incident that she changed her avatar to Tyra...

Great discussion, everyone seemed to say what they needed to about the subject. For me,I go to bipolars bears to show my wild side, maybe a lil opinionated too. Don't go there if your feelings get hurt easily. I think it's good for me, a bit out of character. lol

well it were to appear that the majority of the board has agreed to not one a CL. So i suppose the subject has been decided. No real point in going over it i suppose either, if everyone doesn't want one. Because it were to appear more or less, that people enjoy the aspect of speaking their mind. There is nothing wrong with that. And helping suicidal people is a choice. shouldn't be an obligation or a job. Yes i think its nessicary, to show support, but i don't think anyone should be forced to help people if they don't feel up to it.

bipolar princess is gone...check her page...it says she is taking a break from DS...guess she couldn't take the heat so she got out of the kitchen!
