Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
They have one in the depression support groups who moderate their forum......why don't we have one? I have always been one up for moderation even back when Thadius used to come to the boards who now is silent or gone. All someone has to do is suggest a CL to DS and we will have ourselves a community leader.

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!
I can see entire boards going nuclear over deciding who will be CL which seems a bit self defeating. I can see new member groups being set up in parallel to the main board and so on. But I still can't see why anyone in DS Admin would want to do this unless the community asked for it.
As it is there are discussions going on in the Community Support Group about various types of banning etc. It seems that one Board in particular seems to be in common for most of the members.
Plus, if Depression is moderated why are there long running feuds going on there? Why was a fight there spilt over to BP?
I've still not seen anything that has come from DS officially about this, so I don't know if this is even going to happen.
then each board itself could be a country, with its own CL as head, & we could try to take each other over - like the BP board invades the Depression board, or maybe we form alliances, & then have a DS UN!
oh, it will be wonderful! an entire microcosm of the larger macrocosm! hooray! all be cause we are so scared to deal with each other without having some authority of last resort! lets just sacrifice all our freedoms right now - just in case!

actually, if democracy anything like what we got here, we won't be able to decide who is CL until sometime in September...

1. Community leaders are going to be mandatory for all communities.
2. If they are not mandatory, what triggers the creation of a CL?
3. What their remit will be.
4. How they will be appointed.
5. Who within the DS Admin organisation someone can discuss this with.

It also occured to me, isn't "Doug" our Community leader? (I know he is a founder, but I think he might be Community leader too,)
What is a Community Leader?
A Community Leader is a member of DailyStrength who has exhibited continually sound judgment and a high level of positive support for other members, and has chosen to assist us in identifying problems and providing solutions that may arise within their primary Support Groups.
Because they are active within their Support Group, Community Leaders may be able to answer questions for members and help curtail obvious cases of abuse and spam. As DailyStrength grows, so will our population of Community Leaders. Please consider them as both a resource and a friend that wants to help.

Where do I apply for hall monitor?
The positions are open now. This came out of a group set up "a week ago", and now they are doing this.
The blog announcing it is here. People are asking if they will get paid so even those in the know are totally clueless.
Nominations will be closed 8th Feb. I guess that means DS Admin will decide who is naughty or nice.
