You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.
Last month I classed scores of 3 or below as good, and then this month I lowered it to a score of 2 or below. I don't know if I should change it back to 3 or below (6-9 hairs). Blah.
In other news I've been feeling so much more insecure about my hair this past week. I can't see any damage but I'm guessing there's been a little bit of thinning going on.
Just keep swimming!
I got my hair colour topped up today and got so much volume blow dried into it! I loooove going to the hairdressers. Oh my gosh, did I actually just write that?! Haha. My favourite part is when they wash your hair and massage in conditioner, and also when they massage in leave in treatments.
I put on bandaids straight after my shower this morning to prevent automatic pulling (which then triggers conscious pulling). Pf so far! It's 1:30pm. Have a stressful bank trip to go on this afternoon.. Must be aware.
Oh my gosh I think I've got a zero for today!!!!! In bed, bandaids on.
I am planning to treat myself to a trip to the hairdresser to get my hair washed and blow dried for that extra volume. I wish I knew how to do it myself at home!! That extra volume is soooo amazing.
So that trip to the hairdresser sounds perfect! Yep forever jealous of their skills.
Pull free day! Pull free day! Pull free day!!!!!!!!!!
Argh, I'm out for the day and I just realised I forgot to put bandaids on. Nooooo! Awareness awareness awareness.
It was cool that when I pulled those hairs it didn't trigger urges to pull more. I just had the fantastic "oh shit, hands down" response. It's mystifying sometimes. Maybe it's because I had a great day? Caught up with a friend I don't see often and saw some fantastic art exhibitions, had a nice lunch, hung out in the city. The triggers for the unconscious pulling were stress/thinking (where to get a bus) and tiredness (on a bus).
