You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.
Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

My day...today...misplaced my debit card...didn't realize it until I got to the register after shopping to a full cart. Yeah emmy, the list does appear to be working... Hm! But I think it's also a renewed sense of determination, meh I don't know, I'm just skating by.
Well day 9 went well, though I could feel the urges rising an hour or so ago, so I had a shower, and I'm going to put some bandaids on my fingers soon. It's friday night, YAY!!!!!! And I'm catching up on the posts here, some tv, and drinking some wine. Yay!
