Beating Trich Community Group
You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

You're awesome!!
Hehe thanks lien :) it just feels SO much easier now. It's baffling. I just want this, unquestionably. Before I knew I wanted it, yet just not bad enough. I can identify the exact moment when the switch flipped, and it was while writing an entry on my thread. I'd just pulled a hair and had said "poor thing never had a chance" or something like that. That was the moment I became motivated. Its a slippery, scary thing, this motivation.
Ha accepting, yeah clients drive me nuts!!! Mostly because they're not designers therefore they ask for the impossible, and just don't have a clue. Which isn't really their fault! Stomping works, so does muttering.
7 days pull free!!!!!!!!! Woweeeeeeee!!!! So excited to be on day 8 :)
Hands must stay DOWN today.
I was deep in thought and I allowed my hand to be in my hair. NAUGHTY!!!!!! I knew that I had to be extra aware today but I dud not heed my own warning.
I'm so sad, I was almost 8 days pull free :( Oh well, lesson learned. Upwards and onwards. And all that shite ;)
When I want to pull, I push.
I hope this helps you get your strength and humor back on top to beat trich at its tricks!
You are doing great!
Thanks mrs k.
Well the rest of yesterday went well, and so will today, day 1.
And yes, you're doing great! Onward and upward and such.
You are on the front lines, my dear. rrrrrrrrawwwwwwr. Stomp that sucker down.
Stay strong!
Ha thanks Phoebe, I'm pretty charming sometimes! Hehe yes, stomping it out. And that means; no hand in my hair while I'm working/thinking/watching tv/ reading. Oh also just never.
That's ok mid! Thanks for your support :)
I'm one day pull free!
My goal at the moment is to reach 8 days pull free. I will do it.
