  It's been a really long time since I've acted on my urges. I'm used to the thoughts coming up when I'm having a hard time, but I'm usually able to cope better than I have been lately.   I was with my boyfriend for 9+ years. It took me a long time to decide to end things. Honestly I'm not even proud of the way I did it. But now not even 6 months later I'm back in a situation where i'm getting too close. I feel so ridiculous because I have finally acknowledged that he is really awful to me and justifies it because he gets mad but doesn't get physically violent.
