  I was wondering if anyone could tell me what are their possible triggers before viewing/looking at porn? Maybe if we list our triggers we can be more cautious and thus more prepared to fight the urges.When i get depressed or sad or lonely i have the sudden impulse or urge to feel better, no matter what the method is. Laying down in bed at night is something i need to be careful with. Having a  closed door is another one of mine. Almost every time porn pops in my thoughts first before anything...

  I am tired of relapsing and using porn as a coping mechanism for being bored or worse depressed. Its been a part of my life for 20 years, and there are days i don't think i have the strength to even try to stop. I am going to start writing down Every day i get through without porn, and vice versa. Maybe seeing my habit on paper will be the motivation i need to truly  stop. Best of luck to everyone.   I finally decided to call the National Suicide Hotline. I didn't harm myself or have plans to, but i do have days i just want to stay in the bed and cry and be alone. But after putting it off for so long, i finally called the number. The guy i talked to was nonjudgemental and nice. And i just needed to talk to someone that was family.   I used to think i was alone with this addiction. That's why i never told anyone about it. But DailyStrength has helped so many people, i'm optimistic about porn no longer having a tight grip on me after 20 years. You are not alone in this. I wish the best for everyone on this site.
