I am on day 3 as well. I am journaling every day paying attention to every little temptation and trigger. Some people say don't focus on your problem, focus on replacing it with something. I like that in principle, but this time my strategy is vigilance, attentiveness, etc. I want to hit 90 days. And for the first time in my 30 year struggle with this I'm trying complete abstinence, externally and internally (imagination, etc) I'm kind of curious how my body will react to this..

Thanks everyone. I too tried filling my time with other things , and it was mostly successful, but this time I’m going Mathews route and focusing on triggers. Specifically , the time of day I mostly would use. That’s when I know I’ll be most tempted, has worked so far.

This morning I was thinking about a social issue and my mind wandered into an encounter I had (as a tangent) I caught myself drifting into a fantasy and my body (after 4 days) is "hungry" (it's a strange sensation.) i caught myself quickly. Truth: I AM in charge of what I think about. Truth: it IS possible to live (and thrive) without sex.

I listened to the entire bible during my first 120 days, it helped purge out the poison of lust and porn.
I write things down and pray when I am wanting to be in control knowing better that I am not in control, lust is trying to be in control.
If you fight lust and acting out, you fail to learn why you are wanting to act out.
you have to welcome the feeling of lusting and porn desires and learn why you are numbing or blocking whatever feeling you are having.
You will find once you start listening to yourself you will change.
True change will hurt at first, but you will change if you want to. Remember no one can force you to change but we can help you on your path to change.
