  Hubby got a call from Hepatology Registrar today to say the Fibroscan Friday confirms he has Cirrhosis now.  She needs him to repeat a couple of blood tests, as he still has really high iron levels as well.  She has told him to stop drinking, but his own dr has always told him not to do that, as that might kill him, as he has been drinking for so long?The registrar has arranged to meet with him 21/1/2021 to discuss his options and prognosis.  I dont think it has sunk in with him, as to how...

  So to recap, I met hubby in 1986, when I was 17.  We have 3 daughters, who are now all in their 20's.The last time I was here, I learnt a lot and read some co-dependency stuff.  I learnt to take better care of myself.  To do things for me.It has been ok, not great but ok.  I have been living my life and hubby has been continuing to drink cider.  He had the Australian flu a couple of years ago and started losing weight.  He left his job.  Then in March 2019 he fractured his back.  His...

  Been with my hubby since I was 17, I am now 50.  His drinking has got worse over the last 5 yrs.  He has lost 2 sisters, his mum and my dad.  All of which he has found really difficult, but he bottles it and does not talk about it very much.  It did go to counselling for a few months but has decided he does not need that now.  His health has got worse.  He has high blood pressure, a hiatus hernia, in march he fracture his back and has since been diagnosed with osteopenia, so now he is on...
