Sandra aka songsofthenight here, my husband bigbear left June 25, 2010, 2 days after our 11th anniversary from prostate cancer that had metastasized and spread throughout his body. We lived in up state NY moving to NC in 2005 and that is when he started feeling not quite right, we figured it was the hot, humid heat but it continued into the winter so he went to the doctor, took a while before they figured out what was wrong....did the radiation and chemotherapy, thought they worked but in the end they didn't. He fought a good fight for 5 years....not in here as often, usually just read. hugs, Sandi

I am Roxanne from Maryland. I lost my beloved husband to renal cancer on March 19, 2009. He was diagnosed just seven months earlier, had not even been feeling bad but had been losing weight so he decided to go to the doctor. We could not believe how ill he was and did not even know it. We were married for 27 short years; a day does not go by that I do not miss him tremendously. Life has moved on slowly for me. I certainly relate to the raw emotions I read about for those who are new, and I still experience extreme loneliness at times. I got a little schnoodle six months after my husband passed away, and she has helped fill the void I feel in this big house. I am on this site often but don't post much; however, it has been a big comfort to know that I am not alone in my feelings and emotions. Still finding my way . . .

My husband passed away June 7, 2011 from complications brought on by a 5 1/2 year battle with cancer.

He's still the love of my life and I miss him more than I can describe. I visit DS often, but rarely post. Even so, this support group has helped me through some of the worst times I've ever experience in this grief journey.

I'm Renee - I lost the love of my life October 12,2012 - he was diagnosed with Lung cancer in the beginning of July. We were together for seven years only got married in August. He was the man I had looked for all my life so lucky to have found him. Just trying to find out what God's plan for me is now.

I am Nancy from Illinois, it has almost been 2 yrs. , Feb. 24 20ll, since Bob died from esophageal cancer. Still so hard to believe, it was a very short illness. I still feel him everywhere around our farm and believe with all my heart that he is still here with me and watching over me. I don't post much but I still do check in alot and pray for you all, new ones to this site and old ones too. Like all of you DS has helped me through some of the toughest days of my life and I will always be grateful.

I lost my husband to bladder cancer in February, 2009. I still check this site almost everyday. It will be 4 years 2/13. I would never know how normal I am if it wasn't for you all and I
love to pass on your compassion to others like us.

I lost the love of my life on November 9, 2009 to cancer. I am still around and found this site to be a blessing and found some very special friends here.

Hi I'm Miki 63 years old from In. Lost my Jerry Feb. 17,2012 to sarcoma. We were married 1 month,2 days shy of 45 years. Sure is hard to go on without him. This is a very difficult season. Thanks to all for being here.

As I write this, it is so hard to believe that Mike left this world on July 1, 2012 almost 2 1/2 years ago. He was diagnosed with a rare form of aggressive colon cancer at age 41 and passed away 10 months after diagnosis.
We never had the chance to marry but planned on doing so. We were together for a short four years. I will treasure those years forever.

Hello everyone I'm Scott .I'm from just outside Pittsburgh Pennsylvania . It's been three and a half years now since I from my wife dead on our couch .There has been alot of bad times like everyone else here ,but a few years ago I made a very good friend on this site and we are now living together in Australia .And life is alot better .I still think about and miss Cindy but my life has moved forward good luck to everyone here and just keep moving don't stop and look to hard what was behind you just think about who you lost and keep them in your heart ....
