Walk a Day

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps.
I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting back.
Walking greatly improves my mental health too. I'm feeling less irritable and depressed after walking.

I want this to be a support thread for people who exercise and eat healthy so if you do any of that post here!

I walked 2.6km today just going to the grocery story for pantry supplies to get me through the week until the month's end! It hurt, too, but I needed the items I went to buy, so I toughed it out. The CKD neuropathy pain as such that I collapsed on my couch for 4 hours after I got home though. Ouch!!

Today I walked exactly half as much as I walked yesterday: 1.3km. It hurt less than yesterday, and as always my walk ended with gratitude that I'm not in my wheel chair this year so far like I was 3 times last year. :-)

I walked my dog for 1.2 km today with less pain under a lovely orange fireball sunset with a breeze that was 15 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than earlier this week. It was sweet.. I was really grateful.

I haven't been walking yet today but I've got a feeling it's going to be a good one, another 1.2km with minimal pain. :-)

I walked about 5 miles last week and gardened for 2 hours.

Way to go, Rizen! I hope the gardening pays off in good growth this Spring.

Today was pension payday as the first of the month so I did my monthly big grocery shopping spree and in the process walked 2.8km or double my daily goal.

I walked 1.3km today under a gorgeous orange sunset here in Mexico. So glad I could get out to see it rather than being stuck indoors in a wheel chair like I was last year.

It was TEN degrees fahreinheit cooler today than yesterday so walking 1.2km today was a lot easier!

It was cool again today and I walked exactly 1.2km again more easily. Yay!

My CKD neuropathy pain from the bad doc's over prescribing PTSD meds was back today, so it hurt to walk and I walked a little less, 1.1km. I'm still proud that I mustered the wherewithal to do it.

I had less pain today so I walked 1.3 km, but my CKD made me so weak that I had to stop and sit down to rest twice before keeping on. It was lovely and dry out even though the forecast was for rain, meaning the rainy season's about to start here in southern Mexico. It pours.

I walked 3 miles this week and worked outside for 2 hours.

I went to the mall for a little ice cream, pizza, and shopping today and got 1.4km of walking in there in the a/c which was great because it got up to 100 degrees here in Mexico today. Ay, ay, ay!

I walked 1.2km today, with low pain, thankfully, and no dizziness, I'm happy to say, but with CKD fatigue because of my blood's low oxygen level since that psychiatrist prescribed me so much Seroquel for my PTSD nightmares that he damaged my kidneys forever. I really get tired fast and have to sit down twice per block I walk.
