I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps.
I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting back.
Walking greatly improves my mental health too. I'm feeling less irritable and depressed after walking.
I want this to be a support thread for people who exercise and eat healthy so if you do any of that post here!

No walk today...maybe tomorrow.

I was dizzy a lot today, but I still got to walk outside for 1.1 km. :-)

It's a dreary rainy day in the mountains of Mexico today, which it ought to be since we only have 2 seasons here, rainy and dry, and the rainy season doesn't expire until November . Walking today, then, was all indoors but the daily 1 km goal was met again! :-)

It was a pretty day for walking, but I had a lot of CKD pain until sunset today. Then I gave it a try, though, and walked 1.17 km after all under a golden setting sun against pearl-colored clouds here in the mountains of Mexico. It was great.

Yesterday's CKD pain dropped nicely today such that I got my poodle out for a 1.7 km walk, almost double of my daily 1 km walking goal. It was sunny and warm out, beautiful weather for walking, so my dog and I enjoyed it immensely. This year so far I haven't relapsed back into my wheelchair a single time. Since last year I relapsed back into my wheelchair 3 times I'm so very grateful to have such a better year so far.

I couldn't walk today, not due to CKD pain, which I walked with earlier this week, but due to CKD exhaustion. When that bad pdoc's overprescribed PTSD meds ruined my kidneys, that meant that oxygen wasn't supplied through my bloodstream to the rest of my body. Sometimes it means I have terrible fatigue, which happened to me today. I couldn't get off the couch, much less out of the door to walk. Hope for daily strength tomorrow.

My energy was back today, and so I got 1.46 km of walking in with my poodle. The mountains of Mexico were gorgeous against the backdrop of a bright sun and a blue sky with fluffy clouds.

It was a GOOD day for walking for me today. I got 1.3 km of walking in, and my poodle loved it!

I walked 3 miles and worked outside for 3 hours this week.

Way to keep walking, Rizen. Today I didn't due to CKD pain. That's just the breaks for me, good days & bad. But last year I was confined to my wheelchair 3 times, and yet this year not once, not even on days when I can't walk. So that's good.

I had a 2nd day in a row of CKD pain due to the bad prescription of PTSD drugs to me by a bad psychiatrist. I wasn't dizzy, though, so unlike yesterday, when I stayed home, I took my dog for a 1.3 km walk outside. It was worth it. Tomorrow I need to be mobile enough to go grocery shopping, so pushing myself today prepared me for getting out to the supermarket tomorrow.

I had CKD pain again today but no dizziness, so my caregiver & I still went to the local mall here in my city in Mexico to get the last few groceries I need to get me to pension payday at week from now. It hurt to walk, yet I put in 1.6 km of walking in the supermarket. I'm glad I did. I weighed myself, and I've gone from weighing 350 pounds or 158 kilos in 2018 to 202 pounds or 91 kilos now and daily exercise has had a lot to do with that positive outcome. :-)

I spent the first half of the day in LOTS of CKD pain, and then since it's the rainy season here in the mountains of Mexico, it rained all afternoon. But in the evening I still found a dry window of daylight and got a 1.19 km walk in, exceeding my daily 1 km goal yet again. My dog loved it.

I dodged the rainy season's rain today in these mountains of Mexico to log a 1.2 km walk, again exceeding my daily 1 km walking goal. I'm so amazed at how I've gotten nearly through ten months of 2024 on my feet without relapsing back into my wheelchair once like I did three times in 2023. It's a real blessing.

It was spitting rain when I dashed out for my daily 1 km walk today in the mountains of Mexico. On the horizon were dark clouds that were heading my way bringing lightning and thunder the way clouds in the rainy season here do. I beat the rain, though, and go 1.22 km of walking in before the clouds burst. As always, I got home grateful once again for how I'm 10 months into 2024 without having CKD from to much Seroquel for PTSD confine me to a wheelchair like it did 3 times in 2023. I am daily grateful for that daily strength. :-)
