Today was my payday for my retirement pension checks so it was also my monthly big grocery shopping day and while shopping I walked 2.87 km, almost triple my daily 1 km walking goal. Whew!

My CKD really hurt today, though. Boo.

It's early afternoon and today I'm already halfway to my 1 km daily walking goal! Yay!

I walked 1 mile, hiked 4 miles and worked outside for 2 hours this week.

We had an earthquake today down here where I've retired in Mexico. It shook my apartment building, but nothing got broken, fortunately. It's a weird feeling to have the floor underneath your feet start jumping. I didn't walk my daily 1 km this morning like I usually do to beat the afternoon rain during this rainy season, then. We'll see if I can this evening.

Today I had a lot of CKD fatigue as my body doesn't get all of the oxygen it needs, but I still made it outside to beat my 1 km daily walking goal walking 1.17 km. I'm still not in a wheelchair like I was last year, this year I'm still standing. YAY!

The rain forecast was for NO RAIN today here in tropical Mexico's rainy season, something rare. That meant that as I walked my beloved little poodle I got to take some LOVELY pics of the sun shining brightly through the clouds as it set. It wasn't orange or anything like it is some days; it was more like golden rays. Gorgeous.

There was a breeze, too. I had another chance to be grateful to be 8 months into 2024 now and not be in a wheelchair like last year but rather be standing all year. I'm blessed.

Ouch, CKD pain kept me in from walking outdoors today. But I did walk my daily 1 km walking goal INDOORS from room to room in my apartment today anyway. Still not in a wheelchair like last year, in 2024's eighth month I'm still standing.

Ouch again, for another day CKD kept me indoors but again I didn't give up, I walked 1 km indoors, then. Maybe tomorrow, huh?

The ouch stopped today! I got up with less CKD pain and was able to get up in the morning and my own coffee brewed, get my own toast, feed my dog! YAAAAAAAAAAAY! What a blessing! So my dog and I got outside for the first time in 3 days and we walked 1.67 km, WAY over my 1 km daily goal. We both LOVED it!

It must have been scary to have an earthquake. I've never been through one.

I had an off week and only walked 2 miles.

Yeah, it's new to me, Rizen, an earthquake is like thunder from below instead of from above. Congrats on walking 2 miles still on an off week, amigo. I walked 1.25 km again today.

Today my home health caretaker's 15 year old son was kind enough to take me to the local mall, a mall here in Mexico that is as fine as any mall you'd ever see back in the States. The young man doesn't go back to school until two weeks from now, so he enjoyed our mall outing as much as I did. The mall is air conditioned throughout on all of its 3 floors, so I got in 1.84 km of walking without even breaking a sweat.

I'm so glad I'm not in a wheelchair like last year and that this year I can mall walk like I did today. We took the bus there, and that's something we could not have done if I were in a wheelchair. I'm so glad I could climb up into that bus and climb back out of it on my own two feet. :-)

The morning today was rough with CKD pain, but a 3 hour nap on the couch restored me and I walked 1.25 km outdoors afterwards. Not in a wheelchair any more and so grateful!

It was another rough morning with CKD pain from PTSD meds that ruined my kidneys, but unlike yesterday today it DID turn around without even a nap so I walked exactly 1.25 km outdoors again. Always grateful for that and not being back in that wheelchair and on my own two feet another day! :-)

I had a TERRIBLE night of reliving PTSD war episodes last night. I had a walk, but today even walking my episodes of reliving real trauma brain will just not shut off. I had to tell Sara about it so she could support me through the day. It's been a rough one.
