Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
It all started when i was about 6 by just saying silly little lies to my friends to fit in as my mother was in hospital all the time and i was in care. I lied all my way through primary school and secondary school just trying to fit in. I would also lie to all my family trying to blend in and make my family proud of me. I could never stand up to my mum as i was scared of hurting her and putting her back in hospital. I have lied to everyone in my life at some point but mostly and regrettably my loving partner all she wanted to do was love me and care for me and all i did was lie to her and cheat on her as it was my way of dealing with my problems. I lied to her about everything under the sun. In April 2011 we had a daughter who was from her previous relationship, which i thought would of helped me change which it didn't but then in august we got pregnant again with a little boy. My partner was going to abort my baby around Christmas because she found out that i had been lying to her and that i had been cheating on her again. After that i decided to cut my mum out of my life and the lying stopped!!
The lie i told a couple of weeks ago was that was about me cheating on her with prostitutes for a few months and i thought i had told her but then i told her the truth but then i panicked and lied saying thats not true and tried to manipulate her.
Since then i have been on the straight and narrow we have a daughter and a son i would never ever want to lose them i would love to talk to people on a daily basis to help myslef and then overcome this problem that takes hold of so many peoples lives and ruins it if they don't confront.
I nearly lost my family and i am seeing a couples counsellor to help with everything and its helping.
Thanks for listening and taking time to read it
Jack
I have lost my family so consider yourself lucky brother. i have a chance to rekindle it but i need help first. one day at a time and one truth at a time. i have had a couple of humbling experiences recently, and have found telling the truth feels a whole lot better than liying. mail me anytime bro.
Same mail me anytime if you need to talk.
