Hello everyone, today is one of my worst days, I broke up with my girlfriend, and had a terrible day at work, but I didn't lie though. I am trying to keep strong not to lie, because I know it will make it worst. I feel like shit, but I think is was for the best for her and myself. What I need to do is focus on my kids, they need me. Today I didn't lie, living day by day.

Hello Iam hurting so much today, but I haven't lie. I got into bad fight with my girlfriend and I done something that she said I was lying and can't trust you. At the moment what I did I felt hurt, alone, and no where to go. My mind was blank, couldn't think just nowhere. What i done to me is nothing but to her is big, due to her x-husband was doing the same. But i tell my self that i didn't lie am not going to lie today. Iam hurt do to she don't trust me but i know for myself I been honesty.

Hello, I'm Daniella, and I'm a compulsive liar.
It's been about a month since I lied.
I've had several instances where I felt the need to lie... To avoid someone getting their feelings hurt by telling them the truth. But I'm proud that I was able to overcome that temptation. I feel better when I'm honest.

My name is cassie. and I'm a compulsive liar/borderline personality. checking in because I feel like crap today. I keep trying not to lie but it's gotten to the point where I don't have a conscious choice right now, things come out of my mouth before I even get the chance to realize it's a lie. I'm trying, and failing at the moment. but don't they say that failing is a part of recovery? or something like that? maybe I made that up. I'm not sure anymore. hope you all are doing good.

I empathize Cassie. The more checked in you are to your life in general and your daily choices, it'll get easier. Can't recommend 12 step meetings and literature enough -- whatever 12 step meeting works for you whether it's Al-Anon or CODA. I really think that so much of what we liars contend with is feeling "not-enough" so we lie to cover up or puff ourselves up. It WORKS in the short term so we keep doing it, but the not-enoughness always returns. Gotta get to the deep core work. Peace and serenity to y'all

had a doctor appointment with my internal medicine doctor- worst experience of my life. Her and the nurse were making jokes about both of my conditions, asking me to make up a lie for them, and saying how they were excited to have me come in and were all talking this morning about if they would be able to tell if I was lying and making stupid comments like that. my doctor then preceded to ask me after every single sentence out of my mouth if i was lying to her. and when I was talking about my family history she cut me off laughing and saying 'oh come on, that's a lie, right?' of course being borderline didn't help my situation, I just became dissociated with the experience and could feel my rage building up inside of me. I didn't act on it- surprisingly enough knowing my usual reactions- but I could feel a deep rooted hatred for that woman. I hate today. I made it through the appt without a lie- but then had 4 lies happen this afternoon, so- not really improvement. small victories I guess. i didn't lie for a full hour when it was really tempting, and i didn't lose my temper, either. so that's okay I guess. still- kind of a shitty day.

Hi everyone. Andrew here and I'm a liar. Things are going pretty well for me right now. Through the help, encouragement and support from this group things are finally looking up. I've got a long road ahead as I didn't get this way overnight but I'm committed to changing for good. I saw a clinical psychologist last week at the Veteran's Administration and spilled the beans on everything. He was very empathetic and seemed eager to help. He wanted me to make a follow up appointment and I thought his assistant made it for me as I walked out the door. Turns out, he didn't. A few hours later, the psychologist called me to ask if i was going to schedule the appointment. That small gesture meant a lot to me and for sure I booked the appointment.

I wish I could convey to everyone what a relief it is to live honestly. I still make mistakes but I'm moving past them and the guilt over them doesn't last as long. I admit that I made a mistake and I vow to do better next time.
