My wife was upset with me last night as I misheard something she said whilst on the phone, then when I replied she thought I made my response up. The truth was that I completely misheard her obviously. She eventually came around.
Lying scars the people you love and care about sooooo much, that they then think you make things up when you don't hear them properly.
My Name is Patrick. I'm a Liar. Today is my second day of charting my lies. Not good at the moment. Lied the first day and lied today to cover a friend. Although I'm being very picky about things a lie is a lie.
So I'm going to start again tomorrow and I know things will get better.
I just want things to be better between my wife and I. I was in so much denial. She's the one that woke me up to my addiction. 6 years of problems I've caused.
chin up everyone. If you want it, then work honestly and hard towards it. And be kind to yourself.
These ambiguous moments are the hardest to deal with, and I've had moments like that before where I have lied about what I've said, but in this case I hadn't. Fortunately this time my wife let it go, maybe it's a sign of trust developing, but I'm more lead to believe that she was pre-occupied and couldn't be bothered continuing with the discussion.
Lesson learned - Have to be clearer in my conversations, slow down, stipulate what I really mean. This will avoid any ambiguity.
