Hidradenitis Suppurativa Support Group
Hidradenitis suppurativa (hi-drad-uh-NIE-tis sup-yoo-ruh-TIE-vuh) is rare, long-term skin condition that features small, painful lumps under the skin. The disease manifests as clusters of chronic abscesses or boils, sometimes as large as baseballs, that are extremely painful to the touch and may persist for years with occasional to frequent periods of inflammation,...
There are many people on here that say this helps stop the drainage and helps slow down the amount of flare ups that they receive. I have taken it for one month and have't noticed any change..BUT I had a syatemic infection going on so that mught be the reason. I do know that it doesnt help ALL people, just like every treatment, so you will just have to try it and see how it goes for you. I hope that it works adn brings you relief!
But, it is worth trying everything we can because living with this condition is to much.

I am curious. If you have found a treatment program which cures your HS, why are you posting here? $47.00 seems like a lot of money for your report. Not to be pessimistic but I have had HS for all of my adult life...40+years. I have seen this kind of thing many times over the years, all of them were bunk! Why should I believe that yours is any different? What makes your report worth $47.00??????

I'm going to make a paste with turmeric, put it under her arm, and she's also going to drink a teaspoon with some milk. Then a cup of coco to wash down the taste. I'm praying it will work and will keep you informed. Thanks for all the help.

I have been reading some of your responses to this thread and have a couple of questions for you....
1. What dosage do you take of the capsule?
2. I am considering having lap band surgery and one of the things the surgeon told me is that I cannot have any outbreaks at the time of surgery (which I don't know how that is going to happen!) Anyway, I want to start the Tumeric but see some people have said it is a blood thinner. I noticed you said you had surgery when you were taking the tumeric. Did you go off of it prior to surgery? The reason I am concerned is that if I need to go off of the pill 2 weeks before surgery, most people are saying you will have a breakout after going off the Tumeric. Kind of a catch-22 for me since a breakout would cancel my surgery.
Sorry for babbling, but it seems like you are the only one here that has had surgery!
Talk with your Surgeon. I was taking 300mg Turmeric and 50mg Zinc. daily or every other day. I told him about the Turmeric and he did not seem concerned. I did not have any bleeding problems. My surgery was a laproscopic removal of my gallbladder. I actually went home the day of surgery and was back to work in three days. Had to take it easy but did not have any particular problems.
