Beating Trich Community Group
You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

You can do this!
Well it's 5pm of day 5, pull free :) This is a great feeling. This morning (Saturday) I read for a few hours on my balcony in the sun. But unlike last Saturday when I did this, I had my barriers on. Bandaids and a hat. Go me!
Stay strong, go you!
Arrrrgh my damn pms. This time I was prepared. But STILL, the freaking POWER of my urges is just overwhelming at times. I got a 4 on Monday, a 3 yesterday, and I'm already on a 3 today and it's 8am. Ah, that sweet feeling of failure. I mean, that shit feeling of failure. I know I know, I haven't failed. It just sucks when you don't feel in control. And that seems to happen a lot with this condition! I'm still using bandaids though I have to admit I'm being a bit lax with them in the early morning and late at night. So I really need bandaids on 24/7 during pms week.
Here's to your success, it does make a difference!
Thanks mid for your comment :) We do just need to "walk away".
You're gonna geterdone!
Thanks mid. The chart is helpful, yes.
Hmm well I was pf on the first day of september, but since then I've scored 4-6s. Erf. I must be more strict with myself, when I can!
PMS sucks. No two ways. I had a really, really rough time, back in the day. I have to honestly say that I have had a much happier life since that has been over. A reason to look forward to your '50's . My PMS & cramps improved greatly after I started taking Paxil.
