You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

5 days pull free!!!!! Massive urges last night when I got into bed, nor surprising seeing as how I'd consumed several alcoholic beverage and stayed up til 1am.

I'm sorry you slipped, but don't be too hard on yourself.. you're going through a tough time and still you managed to be pull free for 5 days!! that sure has to count for something :)
you can do this again, you will reach a month again!

I did SO great today, had urges all day and resisted resisted resisted. Then night came... Ah yes, I've been pulling. STUPID darn night urges.

Tomorrow night I'll be extra aware..

Ack, I'm doing well so far but I've only been awake for a few hours! The real test is tonight.. ARGHHHH! Yes, back in the saddle. Upward and onward. Insert other motivational cliches here.

Hats work for me too Nabby, I just hate wearing them!
