You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

Yeah, it especially sucks cos I work from home and I NEED the internet and it looks so unprofessional when I say I can't do a certain thing cos my net is slow. Ugh. That sucks about your tv situation, noooooooo!!!

Well I'm pull free so far today!! Haven't had to fight any urges yet though, but it helped that I only pulled 2 yesterday I think. Eek I can make it til the end of today I can. On with my beanie as soon as my nails dry. Bough pretty new bright coralish red nailpolish for $2.50 yay!

you know, i paint my nails only to peel off the varnish when i get urges to pull.. perhaps you could try that - or am i very bad encouraging other bad habits haha.. but obviously less dangerous and keeps our little hands busy hahah
