I can't do that because of student loan debt and I turn 40 in December. I would have had to have started younger.

It's been forever everyone. I'm sorry I was gone so long. My father passed away. I had some health issues myself and some more again now!! Hope everyone has been good this past year.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your father redvelvetcake!*hugs* I have had 3 sinus infections this year requiring multiple courses of antibiotics and will be seeing an ENT tomorrow. I have a 1,5cm complex nodule on my thyroid that will be biopsied. I will probably have to wait 3 months for an appointment to get it done. My hyperparathyroidism is still ongoing. My dry eye is the worst it has ever been. I am on a steroid eye drop for two weeks. I will see the optometrist again on the 16th and she wants me to try restasis. Supposedly our insurance covers it 100%. I'm thinking of getting tested for sjogren's syndrome. It's an autoimmune disease which attacks the moisture producing glands in the body.

Thank you for the kind words. I miss him every day but we are coping. I am sad to have missed so much on here. Some friends I see have been deleted or deactivated or haven't posted in over a year, so I'm now worried about them. Darkness! I'm sorry to hear about your ailments and the biopsy! I hope they find something to give you relief! I am in the middle of allergy testing again. In addition to my severe tree nut and peanut allergy I have new ones. So far tested positive to some items that cross react with latex. So I need a latex test. I got random hives all over on and off for two weeks. Got a steroid shot and they went away for awhile.

On top of that, I just found out a few days ago that the dentist/surgeon thinks I need jaw surgery. I'm kind of freaking out. It's the non-invasive one but still. Freaky to me.

I'm sorry you're coping with so much redvelvet!*hugs* I developed anaphylaxis to peppers this year so now I have to avoid them along with tree nuts and strawberries. That would be awful positive having to avoid items which cross react with latex!*hugs* I'm glad the steroid shot got rid of the hives!*hugs* I hope that your jaw surgery will go well too!*hugs*

perhaps we could find someone to sucker punch you in the jaw and it would save you the surgery :)

I'm feeling frustrated again by the healthcare system here. I went for my thyroid biopsy last Friday only to find out that because of a clerical error they had scheduled me for an ultrasound and not a biopsy. They did an ultrasound to check the nodule again. Now they are saying they're not sure if it's a nodule or a collection of cysts. The prior ultrasound was done by a different technician and was reviewed by a different radiologist. They are going to send the report to my endocrinologist and she will decide if she still wants me to get a biopsy. I think I should get the biopsy since they are unsure. Also when I saw my ENT we both agreed that I should be referred to a rheumatologist to be tested for Sjogren's Syndrome. The doctor filling in for my family doctor while she's on maternity leave won't make the referral without out seeing me first! So annoying! We leave for Toronto on August 24th and won't be back until September 4th. I doubt things will be sorted out by then.

I'm feeling worried because the hospital called and told me that the doctor wanted my yearly ct scans moved up from September 22nd from October 30th. I called the doctor's office and they wouldn't tell me why. I do see that doctor tomorrow for the rheumatologist referral so I will ask why it was moved up. I have been having more digestive issues lately. Even when my CA 125 was a little higher my doctor never moved up my Ct scan. I wish they had told me why on the phone. Please keep me in your thoughts.

My ct scan was moved up because my CEA(tumor marker) is up higher than it's ever been even before surgery in 2014 it was always below 1. Now it's 46 and everything I'm reading says that below 5 is normal. I've been having more stomach issues too this month. I get my ct scans on September 22nd and have to wait until October 5th to see the doctor to go over the results.

I'm sorry I didn't get back here sooner-I think drs are in cohorts with each other-one dr can put nasty/horrible thoughts in your head so then you have to pay to go see a shrink :p

I broke my baby toe in Toronto and it's been really bothering me. I tape it to the other toe. Not much can be done.

Poor baby toe :( You would think it could be straightened a little?

No the doctor yesterday said they wouldn't do anything for it after two weeks. I just have to elevate it and rest it when possible.
