Since we usually have more thank one ailment or sometimes our ailment doesn't attract enough members to an forum thread-please feel free to post your open ailment discussions here.
On the main forum sometimes members do a check in thread-so instead of coming here to find nothing new has been added-I will have this thread so we can atleast say"we were here" and we left our little foot prints or cane prints...just don't leave any cat or dog droppings please-might begin smelling up the place!

My asthma has been improving thankfully. Stomach still acting up. I'm avoiding going out in the bitter cold as much as possible. Hope you're staying warm!

I'm glad you're warm! The rheumatologist appointment was a waste of time. My blood work was normal so he dismissed me. Just raised my gabapentin. I've had a sore throat since Saturday. Yesterday, I was at the mall following my appointment and my asthma was fine until I walked home in the cold. Then chest congestion started along with cold symptoms. Chest congestion is bad today but I need to walk to the pharmacy to get my gabapentin refilled.

No my pharmacy doesn't deliver unfortunately. Only very few pharmacies deliver here.

The ER on Thursday was no help. The 3 day low dose prednisone was not enough. I'm much worse today so I'm trying the after hours clinic since my doctor's office is booked up for the next 3 weeks. My appointment with the NP isn't until the 31st.

I went to the after hours clinic and received three days of 50mg of prednisone and azithromycin for 3 days. I hope it's enough because I just want to feel better!

Thanks annette! The prednisone and azithromycin did help but my period started a week early making all of my digestive symptoms ten times worse. :(

Well glad to hear the meds are atleast helping-the other will go away within a week :P

My sore throat and hoarseness came back on January 30th and haven't gone away. January 31st the Nurse Practitioner took a throat swab but never called back. I left two messages and never got a call back so the swab must not have shown anything. Stomach and sinuses acting up like always. I wish my endocrinologist would refer me for another parathyroid surgery.

I have asked for another surgery but my endocrinologist keeps saying I have to wait until my calcium is a certain despite the fact that calcium levels go up and down daily. I know a third surgery is riskier. I felt really hard on the ice yesterday hurting my knees(especially the left) and my right wrist. I have osteoporosis so I worry a little. My doctor's office didn't return my message and didn't answer when I called. I assume my throat swab was negative for strep since the doctor's office never called back after I left two messages. Doctors here are awful! I'm so sore!
