  I cannot stop playing even when I win thousands of dollars. I have been thinking about it and realize how slot machines do no more but manipulate my brain. When I play slots, especially when I win, I cannot think of doing anything else except continuing to play.  I am distracted the whole day. I never win enough. I am never satisfied.   My social anxiety has crippled me all my life. It started with those awful teachers who I hate who had nothing better to say to me other than "she is so shy and quiet."   I made a decision on January 1, 2019 not to gamble anymore after 6 awful, regretful, miserable years! At the time, I thought I was having such a wonderful time in my life. I couldn't imagine a life without gambling! I even have elderly parents who are addicts and tempt me to go to the casino but I don't let them influence me.
