  Hi, I am new to this forum. I was just recently dx with lupus after nearly 3 years of worsening symptoms and "watching" my progress. I thought at first it may be RA, because I had no sx other than all over joint pain and my joints were twisting. I still think I may have early RA,  but a faint tell-tale malar rash and a rheumy who tested ANA finally revealed lupus.  I honestly didnt have lupus on the radar, so I know very little about it and I am researching as much as I can.   So I've been here for about a year with RA sx, a hught ANA and no dx or tx. I have been recommended by you core members if this board several times to seek a 2nd opinion, and I took it!  I found a hughly recommeded practice 2.5 hours from me.  I was officially dx with lupus today. Although I still feel that I have rf - RA because my joints are more distorted and affected than just general joint pain, that is still not diagnosed.  I am least going to get treatment for the dx we know!   Hi, all!  I have been off-board for a long time, trying to get a handle on my world.  I have been a member for over a year while my rheumatologists have been unhelpfully not doing much.  Hx for me is going on 3 years now of RA symptoms without a dx because I have a positive ANA (dr says it is a "very high positive") and symptoms, but a normal RAF and anti-CCP and all of those other tests I don't understand.  But symptoms persist:  symmetrical joint pain both hands, both feet, both knees,...

  Today we had a church lunch and I brought a crock pot of soup. I had a lot of trouble carrying it. It wasn't fatigue, exactly, I just felt weak. Like it was too heavy. I usually carry 4 times that much just going to work every day. I've noticed this happens fairly frequently. Like I can have a normal work day, get home, and then I just can't lift my bags or move something from the counter.
