Waking up in a panic

I've always wondered why I wake up in a panic.. When I wake, my heart races, my breathing gets faster, I feel tense... Especially if I try to take a nap during the day..In the day time I usually cant fall into a deep sleep. I sleep for 5-10 minutes...
Any thoughts?
