  Hello everyone, just wanted to share with everybody my experience with acupuncture.  I was really hoping this would help me.  So my first appointment I had to fill out paperwork just like when you go to a new doctor and they want to know your health history.  I explained to the acupuncturist why I was there and I even brought him articles on TN and a diagram of the nerve branches showing which nerve branches is causing my pain.  He wasn't really interested in looking at any of the sheets I...

  I'm taking carbamazepine which I'm told is tegratol, is this medication known for causing weight gain?

  Sorry I haven't been around for a while but I'm back.  Things are pretty much the same for me, still taking tegratol and pain still doesn't want to completly go away.  My neurologist thought it might be a good idea to have a 2nd MRI.  I haven't made the appointment yet, I don't know why or maybe I do........I'm scared they might find that I have a tumor or MS!!!  I'm going to make the appointment soon though.  Anyways it is what it is, this is what I have to deal with for the rest of my...

  Tonight I'm feeling really dizzy.  I don't know if it's the tegretol all I know is I hate it.  I feel like you can see in my eyes that I'm dizzy, my eyes feel out of focus.  Thank God I wasn't like this at work or driving!!  I have to get off this medication soon.  I feel like I've been taking them for to long now and 3 pills in the morning, 3 pills in the afternoon and 4 pills at night is just to much.  Even though my pain isn't 100% gone, I'm going to ask my neorologist if I can start...

  I don't even know why I'm typing a post, I never get any replys!! I'm going to post anyway.  So my first appointment for acupuncture is Tuesday 9/6/16.  I'm a little scared of getting poked with the needles.  Don't know why, I guess it's cause my face will be getting poked with needles!!  I really wish I can ask someone with TN if they've ever had their TN treated with acupuncture, or if they've known anybody that has.  I would just like to know if I'm going to get my face poked with...
