  It's been a while, but I'm frustrated and just want to get the words out.  He's been sober for about a month now, give or take.  Now it's not the alcohol in the way, we're back to the depression and the anxiety.  God I wish I had friends I could chat with or blow off some steam.  I feel like my life is always subject to his whims.  If he's doing good, then I'm doing good, but when's bad, I have to be bad.  So, things came to a head last night and he fought with my mother and stormed...

  It's that time of the year again.  I understand people have setbacks all the time and in AA you are told that you WILL fall off the wagon.  The question is what do you do after you fall?  Earlier last week, my husband fell off the wagon for a day.  I did everything the way our therapist suggested.  I didn't fly off the handle or make a big deal of it.  And this sounds terrible but he only drank beer which he can kinda tolerate more than the hard stuff he was drinking.  He apologized. ...

  Well, after a long haul he's finally decided he needs help.  He's leaving on Wednesday to go back to a detox center for the month.  He did it two years ago and it helped.  Of course he's depressed because he failed and has to go back but at least he's going back.  Of course, before he leaves he had to go and buy a full bottle of vodka.  I mean after all, he just finished one and there's nothing here so he's gotta get toasted tonight and tomorrow.  I hate to admit it but I'm actually...

  Well here we are again.  He's drinking full time now and doesn't hide it.  He's pretty much resigned himself to the fact that he's an alcoholic and this is how it is.  He doesn't hide it from me, but that also seems to give him permission to do it, that it's okay and we all know damn well it's not.  I even filmed him on my phone while drunk.  He didn't really do anything major but acted stupid.  My plan is to play this for him on Wednesday at our couples therapy session.  Like my title...

  First time post here.  My husband suffers from depression and axiety.  We've been together for 12 years.  I never knew, I just knew he had quirks (everyone does).  Turns out he was the victim of an abusive father (mental abuse mostly, some violence and not sexual).  We've been dealing with his depression for about 3 or 4 years now.  We have had highs and lows.  We go to couples therapy weekly and he's got his own therapist as well for his depression.  He's also on meds.  We go through...
