  Some years back, Dailystrength had an IM system like FB & people could just randomly begin chats with one another. I use to spend hours chatting away with other lonely people but those days are gone. Would anyone like to maybe chat on FB, email, or text?

  I've had anxiety since I was old enough to talk, and the moment that I was put into any situation that caused me even a little anxiety, I just wanted nothing to do with it. I start feeling physically ill when I get too much anxiety, and my mind races around trying to find a coping mechanism.   It sucks being lonely, it sucks even more being 'friends' with people who are not mentally or emotionally invested in you enough that they would consider you to be a true friend, and then they take you for granted. I will admit that I am not perfect, and that I have had the wrong idea of what "friendship" might mean because I'm just so desperate for interaction with someone that I offer myself to them in vunerable/comprimising positions.
