Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I've had anxiety since I was old enough to talk, and the moment that I was put into any situation that caused me even a little anxiety, I just wanted nothing to do with it. I start feeling physically ill when I get too much anxiety, and my mind races around trying to find a coping mechanism. Sometimes I can't then I have a mild panic attack, but they use to be a lot worse before I started working to get my anxiety under some control. Despite making ground from a decade ago, I still have a very harsh time trying to let someone into my life without getting panicky over how my habits bother them or how my mind starts conjuring up thoughts that make personal interaction with them utterly uncomfortable. I'm 26, and I can't allow anyone into my life except for family members. Isn't that just horrible?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Shit yea, anxiety ruins my relationships, even my relationship with myself. The gooey yuckery of anxiety leaves a psycho slime over everything in my life. Suckus maximus.
Learning how to sort my anxiety slime from the actual problems is the daily study which has made it possible for me to maintain at least a few relationships in my life instead of living in constant anxiety induced isolation.
Gentle support while you figure your own, Shyghy. Welcome aboard.
Here is the #1 thing to remember about anxiety: it is natural, it is a part of you. It does NOT define you. You define it.
You are responsible for what you say, do, and how you react. Practice using anxiety to work for you, and stand in front of the mirror to make your appearance confident and comfortable. The same thing with conversation skills practice in front of the mirror to help you find your comfortable appearance.
Help you be you and find what makes you feel good and use that to work on the skills, ability, and knowledge you have to show them positively.
Changing your thought patterns from negative to positive takes work, determination, and you have more strength than you realize.
The important first step is in writing it out.
Best wishes!
