  I feel so hopeless. I try to be positive and get past my scary thoughts but I can’t. I don’t know how I’m going to live the rest of my life like this. I have the worst thoughts.    This may sound crazy. I have an almost year old yellow lab. I got her as a puppy and she is literally my world. If anything happened to her, I’d be devastated. I get intrusive thoughts with my ocd/ ptsd. I found a few strands of black hair on her and thought of that as a flaw and can’t get it out of my head, my anxiety tries to make me think “what if I hurt her” and find the flaws in things.   Hi everyone,I’ve been dealing with anxiety since I was about 10 years old. I’m in my 20’s now. However, I also have had problems with having intrusive, sometimes harmful thoughts. Although I know I wouldn’t ever hurt anyone, it is distressing. I went to my PCP last year and she switched me to Prozac and I started therapy.   I hate having intrusive thoughts. They could be about anything. I have mean thoughts about people being unattractive or ugly and I hate that because some of these people are people I care about. I don’t want these thoughts because I’m a nice person. But these thoughts plague my mind and make me feel guilty. Then I feel the need to confess all these thoughts. It’s debilitating.

  I have intrusive thoughts that can include harming people, especially ones I care about/love. I talked to my therapist and she said me having these thoughts is my way to relieve stress. I know I would never harm anyone or wish anything bad on people but these thoughts consume me. I’m afraid to get close to people/ get in romantic relationships because these thoughts consume me. People wouldn’t know I have these thoughts unless I’ve told them and there’s only like 2 people that know...
