  I really hate that it's Christmas day and I'm here. Writting a post on a discussion board for wives of alcoholics. Seriously? On Christmas day? I realy hope you all had sober husbands today. I wish I did. I guess my question is, does it ever get better??? Are any of you on here who have words of encouragement? Not just "learn to detatch". That's not what I'm looking for.   Hi...  I'm so new to this. Husband used to be a functioning alcoholic. Now he's not so functioning. When he's sober he's amazing. When he's drinking he 's a nightmare and I don't think I help by yelling and crying and accusing. So questions: he's now a stay at home dad while I work. I don't want him using our money for liquor. What if I just take his bank card? Is that insane and would it just make things worse? Also, if I find liquor, I dump it. Is this counter productive? I undersand he has...
