  It's been a long time since I've been here. Depression is over powering. I woke up today so depressed I haven't been off of the couch all day . I go to a lot of AA meetings and I always try to get there early and stay late. I feel like I have to be phony and pretend everything is going ok . I've been sober 32 years.

  My sister-in-law is doing better. She's had 5 or 6 ect treatments. The hospital wants to discharge her on Friday. But 2 days ago she said her mom was in her or something to that effect. Her mom has been dead for 5 years. I guess at times she thinks she is her mom. So we don't think she is ready to be released. My father in law is a huge part of the problem. She has lived with him for a few years because of her addictions to alcohol and drugs. He has some very severe control issues among other...

  Some good news about me. Last Thursday my wife and I went to a children's Christmas program at an elementary school. It was very crowded. I actually enjoyed it. I had no over powering intrusive thoughts all though I was anxious about going. For me this is huge. Hopefully it will continue.

  My sister-in-law has had 3 ECT treatments with very little improvement. As for myself I'm just trying to get by. I want out of some commitments. I think the stress of it all is beginning to get to me. The problem is I use the commitments to keep me from isolating. Catch 22. Tonight I have to take my wife to her great nephews Christmas thing at school. I'm assuming it's a big elementary school because of its location. I'm afraid there will be to many people.   My sister-in-law has had her first ect treatment. There's been no change in her psychosis. She'll receive another tomorrow. Part of her story is she was molested as a child. She's been a drug addict and an alcoholic since at least high school. Many treatment facilities and countless AA meetings and still active in both addictions. I'm afraid she's pursued it into insanity. She died from an overdose 2 years ago and it took 5. 5 minutes to bring her back. That didn't stop her. I'll give an update...

  Good morning everyone. First thing I don't like the update here. I have several unwanted ads. It seems as if this site went commercial. I've been having violent dreams about things that happen in my life. They run continuous when I'm sleeping. I wake up tired and can't do much during the day. I drink strong coffee to keep me going. I have acid reflux that somewhat lessons with medications. Now about the major reason I'm posting today. My sister-in-law is having ECT this morning. I can't tell...
