My sister-in-law is doing better. She's had 5 or 6 ect treatments. The hospital wants to discharge her on Friday. But 2 days ago she said her mom was in her or something to that effect. Her mom has been dead for 5 years. I guess at times she thinks she is her mom. So we don't think she is ready to be released. My father in law is a huge part of the problem. She has lived with him for a few years because of her addictions to alcohol and drugs. He has some very severe control issues among other problems. He follows her around the house complaining about everything she does. He's like a pit bull dog that won't stop. I know she is part of the problem also.
In a few days we are going to Colorado for a week. I'm afraid if she gets out of the hospital her sisters will ask her to go. I don't want her there because she's a huge drama queen. I told my wife last night that if her sister goes I'm not going. I don't think I can handle the drama. I will have no way to escape. My two other sisters in law and their families are going as well. There will be 13 people staying at the same house. 4 of those people are between the ages of 8 and 4 years old. I have some major concerns about my not being able to escape with out adding the other sister-in-law into the mix. Thanks

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
As for the looming family gathering, 9 adults together? Really? Sounds a little loaded to me, especially if one of the adults just got out of ect treatment. Maybe you could pass on going because you have to have emergency eyebrow transplant surgery or something, anything, you know?
Keep a rental car handy.
If the sister really want to help, getting her into a rehab facility , away from "Dad" might be a better place to maintain the affects of her treatment.
