  my husband has bipolar 2.  He was diagnosed a year ago.  I have been with him for 8 years.  I felt so pushed away that I was close to leaving which prompted him finally reaching out for help.  So, he’s “new” to help still since it’s only been a year.  He’s on medicine, seeing a psychiatrist, and a social worker for Cbt.  I have researched a lot but sometimes I feel so helpless.  He’s an amazing guy.  Typically, he’s more or less stable.  But, every few months (now that...

   I was going to let “her” (little me) show me the pain.   I heard her saying “I’m scared” and a scene started to play in my mind and I stopped myself from “seeing” it.  When I acknowledged her voice and fear, it stop.  If feels like I keep going a few steps forward and then some back.  I really want to feel strong mentally...

  I know the abuse happened. I can accept it as "knowledge" and I try to move on. It's obviously not working because that's not the process. I'm so scared to remember it all. I keep having flashbacks of the bed. It's almost daily. I try to have intamcy with my husband and I finally figured out today that the reason I get so scared is because I have a flashback to his bed. I then realized how frequently the imagine of his bed comes into my mind and I finally realized it's a flashback. I didn't...
