About Me
I've struggled with wetting problems pretty much all of my life. I was well into my school years before I gained enough control during the daytime not to need to wear protection, and I had to wear a nappy to bed until my mid to late teens. I was taken to the doctors, and after the "he'll grow out of it" phase didn't happen I was told I had a nerve breakdown where my bladder and brain weren't properly talking to each other. However, in my late teens things began to improve and although my night wetting never fully went away, things really improved during my twenties and I had the confidence to get into a relationship and then got married. My dream turned into a nightmare as I found myself in an abusive marriage, both mentally and physically. I found there was very little support out there then for guys on the receiving end of abuse from a woman so suffered alone, besides, like most women in this situation I blamed myself for the violence and was told that it was my fault. After two broken ribs, and years of multiple bruises and cuts I finally had the courage to leave. What followed was a very acrimonious divorce, and stress having to meet with her against my will for mediation (something had the violence been the other way around would not have been expected of her). Despite the stress of my marriage and divorce my night wetting, other than the odd night every now and then, was good, but within a month of the divorce being over and I could relax and try to move on with my life my night wetting returned, and would stay with me for a few weeks every so often. Because it was on and off I was able to deal with it with bed pads and lots of washing as I couldn't face having to wear nappies again like I had to all through my childhood. But September last year it returned and wouldn't stop. After so many sleepless nights and that noticeable smell I gave up and bought some nappies and reluctantly started to wear them. I finally got some much needed sleep but the wetting never went away and I've been needing to wear a nappy to bed ever since. Add to this I am now getting day issues, and although they are light I have had to start wearing pads during the day. I'm on a regular schedule of urologist appointments so waiting to see where this goes but she's all ready told me this likely the start of ongoing problems. At times I feel so lonely as I don't have anyone I can talk to about this. I still carry so much baggage from my marriage to trust anyone, add to this having to wear a nappy to bed every night I've given up on ever having another relationship. It's very nice to find a site like this to be able to open up after so many years of bottled up emotions with others with similar issues and I've already had support from a couple of wonderful people on here. Well, that's me, and if your still here, thank you for reading and would love to chat if you'd like.

I also long for cuddling up on the sofa to watch tv and have no desire for sex and understand just how you maybe feeling. I know this is far from what either of us need but I'd like to give you an 'ehug' just to say my thoughts are with you. -
