  Some not so good news: I've finally admitted to myself that I am more depressed than I was willing to admit after a weekend of barely being motivated to leave either my bed or the couch.  Good news: I requested a counselor change with the online counseling service.  Initially they re-paired me with a faith based, Christian counselor, which I found discouraging...I specifically requested a non-faith based counselor for very good reasons.  However, I immediately re-requested a new counselor...

  I've been trying online counseling because I don't have time for counseling outside of work and other commitments.  It's not working.  I've done enough therapy in my time that generic advice is worthless.  I already know what they're going to say and they apparently have no interest in actually engaging beyond copy and pasting general responses.  Perhaps that works for someone who has never before needed to get through the door to an actual professional for mental help.Things are not good....

  Today I started eCounseling, using one of those monthly subscription services.  It will definitely be more convenient than trying to get in with the therapist in this area who I saw once before.  She was kind enough, but she wasn't as good as a previous therapist I had back in DC.  I think the eCounseling will also be good because it's done in writing...I think I have the ability to be even more brutally honest in writing.  Without someone's eyes on me I'll be able to give straight facts...

  I've been doing somewhat better.  It's been 10 days since I cut off all contact with my ex.  I've had some relapses of checking social media, but I've never been tempted to actually reach out to him.One thing I struggle with is letting go of this long term.  I struggle with the notion that he is currently moving on to take advantage of other women.  Yes, absolutely, a portion of this is jealousy.  However, another part is just plain and simple: I HATE that he is like this.  I HATE that...
