  when I was diagnosed with depression I thought it was the worst thing ever, however, now I am thankful for the diagnosis because it meant there was something really wrong, I wasn't crazy.  I am thankful because now I really appreciate my good days, and anything more than getting out of bed is the start of a good day. I am thankful because now I really appreciate a good nights sleep, as they are rare.i am thankful because I am acutely aware of my triggers and avoid them at all costs.   Last year I went through several big issues, my husband lost his job, twice, my son was arrested and sent to prison for three months on drug related charges and I gave up a career I used to love. For the past twelve months, I think I have been ill every month with either migraines, colds, digestive problems and exhaustion. Losing a week or more each time.i am usually a really positive, outgoing person focusing on solutions not problems. So being diagnosed with depression was a bit of a shock....

  Hi everyone, I am new to this site and after reading some of your posts I feel so sad and tearful to hear all the difficulties you are dealing with and at first, I thought My stuff is not as bad, I shouldn't be here, then I thought actually, if I don't share these feelings of utter uselessness and sense of complete failure, then my story will get that bad. Hoping that I can help you change your story for the better as you help me change mine.
