I've been struggling for the pass 2 or so month with severe postpartum, major depression. Due to losing my husband and past things coming up. I wish some people would not say the things they do. Like for instance I know I'm a bad mom for having the negative feeling for my kids but I still care for them to find someone I truely trust instead of them going in the system. I ask for a photo of both because I didn't have a recent 1 since I was hospitalized for a month. Well the mother of my friend text me a bunch of hurtful stuff like 'leave her alone' 'you didn't want your kids' 'you abandon your kids' and worse one of all because I have said it myself and it affirmed it 'you should have never gotten pregnant'! That was a knife to my soul.. if I was in a safe place right now I would of try to kill myself. And after I finally told what I truely was feeling like not wanting to live she responded 'lot of people have problem and they deal with it'. Having most of my somewhat to none support was from my church. And this was my pastor wife saying this. I deeply trouble with it and trying to figure out if it worth staying alive if I may never be able to have contact with my kids. And the way I reaction to all this show me I still love them alot but at the same time it's making the wanting to live harder. Depression suck!

I'm sorry you're being judged by your church. That's the one place you should be able to go to for support. Are you seeing a therapist? I can understand the anxiety you are having about your kids, not knowing what's going to happen to them. I haven't been the best mom myself, so my heart really does go out to you. I hope you can continue to get help and find reasons to want to keep going,

I am sorry to hear that you are not being supported by your church, during this time of need. I went through something similar when my fiancé died and the support from our church after the funeral was non existent. Luckily, I found a local support group and started therapy which saved me. I really hope that you too can find the help you need to keep going and to forge a new loving relationship with your children.

I'm expanding my support outside church cause it's what I need right now.. I'm trying to live for me. It's like starting all over all by myself. It's a daily struggle. I hope I will be able to have my children back. They are 4 yrs old and an almost 6 month old. Thank you all for the support you have been giving me during this rough time of my life.

guilt is the price we pay for the choices we make. it's ours to carry, and not something to dish out in the hope that others can take it away. they can't. It attaches to the actions that we have performed. But you do have to look at the action you have performed and ask if you are seeing it correctly.

others see you as abandoning the children. that may be the case. Or it could be that you are giving them to someone who can care for them better. Only you know which. And you have to show which it is.

But you don't need support. Support is a modern weakness. You need to stand up and be strong alone. That will be better for you in the long run.

I am so sorry, I too experience postpartum depression and I don't think I could have gotten through it alone. I probably would have had to give my kids up for their own good. I don't blame you at all, I completely understand how overwhelming it can be. Sending love and healing thoughts your way. Life is so hard.

Justlenmom4 post partum is horrible. I'm glad I'm not alone. I'm hoping to get better and stronger from it.

Thanks to all the support I'm getting here. My assistant pastor wife know all about post partum and major depression so she being very supportive and encourage me to get healthy. So that a big plus to have her. If I didn't have that I would have not given God another try...
