Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
I sent him a message about it, he took it as some sort of a joke, so I simply went to his profile and hit ignore user. Now I can't see anything he posts and he can't send me any messages. Easy as pie, no harm done. Meanwhile, I got to go out and get myself jalapeno chips that I was craving instead of driving myself crazy reading his nonsense.
Not that you necessarily have to be, but I'm curious, are you?
And your comparison with letting a bully get away with it isn't really a valid comparison. Maybe not apples and oranges, more like lemons and oranges - close, but not quite the same.
Maybe a tad too harshly said for my taste, but I agree with doriangray's view. I don't like crusaders. They say they're in it for moral, holy reasons, but when it comes down to it, they just want someone's blood.
The people in that group aren't attacking anyone directly unless their wives and lovers are there too anc they are criticizing them and going after them head to head in front of everyone. If that was going on I would certainly jump in and say something.
Dorian, I didn't post in your group.. didn't even join it. Didn't flail anyone, didn't single out anyone or anything like that. I can certainly have my opinion on how much punishment is enough (everyone has their own opinion of that) and it's not like I'm going out and dishing out that punishment myself. I think I'll take a page out of kristi's book and just block you.
I had a friend in high school who had a crush on a bully. He was never mean to me and he was never mean to her but he was mean to other people. Sometimes directly, sometimes indirectly. Just because what he did didn't directly effect me, didn't make me like him any more. I disliked him and I greatly disapproved of my friend even having a crush on him.. because bad people are just bad people. I don't surround myself with people like that and if I happen to meet one, I distance myself as soon as possible. People who intentionally or willingly hurt other people are no different from bullies.
Block away.
I agree, but if there was a meeting of bullies so they could all get together and talk about new ways of bullying people, or how to get away with it, or how their victims deserved to be bullied, or give excuses for bullying, or express remorse over bullying, I wouldn't attend. It would upset me. Particularly if I was the victim of bullying. The cheaters support group is the equivalent of one of those meetings which is why I steer clear.
Would you also consider it helpful to me a betrayed if I had a special group that dealt with betrayed that went out and had revenge sex?
I do believe everyone has a place here and we have choices on where to go just as they do. I wouldn't want to belong to a site that had no place for my husband...right wrong or indifferent in anyone's eyes I love my husband so incredibly much even though he cheated...I could never deny him a place to heal as well.
