back again people, five days post surgery and feeling much better. I think champagne and orange juice is just the celebratory drink this morning with some delicious cappuccino and hot home made walnut bread with apple jelly jam. maybe some pancakes just for something hot.
it is good to feel a little better.

I would love some waffles. I love plain american ones which we cannot get here. they are delicious toasted for breakfast. I with you on the chocolate front too. I go for the belgian 81% bars and good dark chocolates. yum. a bar of dark choc from lidl can last me a couple of weeks because you only need a small piece now and then.

Hey I went to the markets today and bought cheeses! I have crumbly dry ones, creamy white ones, gooey yellow ones, rubbery chewy ones, water crackers and cracked pepper biscuits as well. Just the thing to accompany you favorite wine before dinner.

took some searching but i found the lounge again, pulling off dustsheets (cough cough) and making a big fire to sit beside and drink coffee. time to think about halloween decorations. any suggestions apart from some of Lady P'spumpkin bread. oh and lots of candycorn i love it, love it. did i mention that i love it. lol.
any decor suggestions?

Well we've taken all day but the spiders are on the window and the webs are strung! Bring on the pumpkins Irish whiskey and some good ole chandelier swinging!!!

oh wonderful we haven't had chandelier swinging in a long time, love the spiders and webs. can we do some leaping into the ball pool , we haven't done that for a while. or we could spend half a day skiing on the patio on the right and then the rest of the day lounging by the pool in the sun sipping prosecco and whipping up a barbecue? any takers?

good idea, given that i have only ever carved one pumpkin in my life (not a big thing here) I could well have a go at the silliest - maybe we can do the scariest too and then make some pumpkin goodies with the innards! all recipes greatly appreciated.

I don't usually carve pumpkins since I discovered that you can eat them. Oh hey!! I have an idea!! Swap pumpkin recipes and see what kind of goodies we can make and then bring all the goodies and a couple cases of our favorite drinks and have a big ole party!!!

I brought pumpkin spice rooibos tea and pumpkin spice cake pops... they are are great pair and black and purple streamers for the wall borders... oh and I found an old fog machine in the garage....im envisioning a dance floor...any Halloween hits to dance to?

minatro , hello, that fog machine and some dancing should be a big part of rocky horror. can't wait to have the spice cake pops! i used to drink bucket loads of rooibos tea so maybe i'll give the pumpkin one a try too.

ok, hello. do you lot know that the lounge is open all the time. i do not actually have to be here. it saddens me greatly that it just disappears when i am not around. on a downer tonight as i just looked back at old posts that got zero responses even in crisis. then i saw the lovely message from MayB etc and thought hey get over there and shift your butt and decorate. all christmas decorations welcome. and lots of gifts and surprises expected.

i'll post message on the main board. in the meantime come in , sit down and have a bucket full of mulled wine. it is delicious and you cannot get drunk on virtual mulled wine no matter how hard you try so get it into you and enjoy. i added the juice from stewed fruit to give it that delicious flavour along with a vanilla pod and cinnamon sticks.
