You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.
Hi, My name is Sam and I'm new to this group. I am 23 and have had trich since I was 12. Over the years I have tried many times to stop, however it's only this past year that I have started to research ways of stopping, and have been really determined to do it. I plan on doing so with a combination of understanding, will-power, exercise, trying the John Kender diet, and seeing a therapist. I love designing, illustrating, cooking, extreme sports, exercising, seeing live music and reading. I would love to provide others with encouragement, and maybe get some support when I fall.

Hello- I am new to the group

My therapist really knocked some sense into me last Friday about my spending. She said that there are needs and there are wants. She said that there is always going to be cheap stuff to buy, but do I need it? The answer is mostly "no". So today, I am taking back some things that I bought online at Kohl's, namely a 9 x 12 rug and a quilt for my bed. I also bought sheets that I don't need...

It was a great day. Of course many things did not to plan, but it was still amazing. We got back from our honeymoon (also awesome, probably more so!) last night and I just woke up this morning. Waaaaaaah. So sad it's over. Thankfully we have some more time off together.
My pulling has been very on and off. For the most part it's been quite mild, with the occasional little spree here and there. Awareness must be increased.
Good to be back with the group (Internet was sooo expensive when I was away).
I had also troubles over the past few weeks to increase awareness, but you'll soon get back into it!
