I use a store brand expectorant syrup that works fairly well. Not feeling well today at all. Sore and scratchy throat, congestion, sneezing, sore chest.

As for expectorants, my favourite is mucinex!

I'm glad you can still have eggs redvelvet but sorry the elimination diet is making you tired. Unfortunately, Mucinex isn't available in Canada. Here in New Brunswick there's no pill expectorant that doesn't have a cough suppressant or anything for flu symptoms.

Unfortunately the expectorant doesn't help. I keep coughing. Also I've been having rectal bleeding which is concerning me. Along with other GI symptoms. My GI surgeon's office told me to see my family doctor. I had an appointment already for tomorrow because of this stupid cold! Hope you are doing better!

That's concerning...I'm glad you get to see the doctor tomorrow! I'm doing ok! I am coughing again too for no reason and it's sudden and loud...all my coworkers keep asking how I'm doing...ugh. I find some honey and green tea stops it for a second before it starts up again. Mucinex isn't working anymore.

I'm sorry you're coughing again redvelvet!*hugs* I hope green tea will work for you. I have a cough that occurs every once in a while. For me blowing my nose seems to help. (most of the time) My family doctor did a rectal exam and said she didn't feel anything. She also said she didn't see any blood. She said because of my history any time I have bleeding I need an exam. No medicine given, My family doctor said there's nothing she can give me for my asthma. She gave me the prescription for the prednisone and benadryl I will need before my ct scans October 5th. I have a severe allergy to the contrast. The prednisone and benadryl stopped the reaction. She told me that I could have to wait six months for my pulmonary function testing!

I am grieving badly today again. My daughter and son should have been four months old about now if they hadn't passed away. I got a grief pamphlet for my boyfriend's mom. I found out I need potassium supplements because it's too low and my doctor didn't run all the blood work I need. My thyroid at least should have been checked but they "checked it last year" and when I was pregnant and it was fine. It's been a while though and I'm having symptoms. My rheumatologist prescribed a medicine that is safe during pregnancy and trying to conceive which is plaquenil that helped me tremendously last time. My bloodwork showed a great reduction in the inflammation markers. I hope it works that well again. Its price went up though. It is very expensive now. I am so upset that I had blown a job interview I had over nerves, panic attacks, shakiness from my potassium being adjusted, and a complete inability to concentrate on anything. I was already in so much pain. I feel like such a failure. My life is so messed up and my babies aren't here to help me through. All I have is heartbreak and my boyfriend can't even comfort me most times I'm so sad. It's such a hard time.

I was having back pain and migraines today at work. I am also throwing up on and off. I am taking my pottasium supplement and ensuring I'm getting it in my diet, but the office who said "no news is good news on our bloodwork" told me I had autoimmune issues two years ago and didn't tell me about that. I was just put back on plaque nil and starting to feel a little better when my back starts hurting where my kidneys are. Nothing is off with blood work that I've heard and my urinalysis looked clear. So I don't understand. I'm also upset by family members who talk about insensitive things around me, like this guy who has FIVE kids who teaches them to say mean and nasty things to people gets a big tax break for having children. I JUST went through the death of my son and daughter this year. I don't need to hear about someone who it's that easy to have kids for. I don't think I'd even care if I had a tax break if my babies were Alive and well that would be all that would matter to me. I'd personally make sure every cent went to the kids not on stupid things. She went as far as to add to a discussion about it about a girl with four or five kids getting breast implants with her money. Why do I need to hear about these people who really don't know how good they have it to have living children? How is it that someone it took several years to conceive a baby forget why that upsets me so much it makes me want to throw up some more? It's not right of her to talk about this sensitive subject around me knowing everything I've been through. She could have left that part out. I ran out of the room to watch tv after that because I couldn't deal with it.

I hope your back pain goes away soon!*hugs* A heated gel pack helps my back. It would be frustrating not knowing the reason behind the pain! I'm sorry that those family members said insensitive things around you!*hugs* Unfortunately it sounds like they are always going to talk that way when you're around. Maybe it would be best to spend as little time around them as possible or leave when they start talking that way.
