Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.
Praising almighty God for great monthy labs and Onc visit today. I am so blessed to share that I have graduated to three month labs and PCR and six month clinic visits! !!!

I also had my first phlebotomy today and all went well. Because my iron study showed me just over the treatment threshold of 1000 at 1100 I will only need phlebotomies every three months.
We discussed at length my prognosis now that I have passed the two year post treatment mark. My onc showed my a bell curve for inversion 16 relapse for over 35 after 2 years. Less than 5%, praise God.
