October 2012: Got a cold a few weeks ago and I stopped my methotrexate.....having no problems with my RA. I am tempted to stop my MTX completely, and just take my Enbrel. Update August 2012: Feeling good these days, down to 2 MTX pills and Enbrel. No more prednisone! Doing all I did before RA. So that is a good thing! Diagnosed with RA in April 2009. Previous to 2012: Was on Enbel, Methotrexate, and Prednisone. Married, self employed and working full time. Update: January 2010. Finally, after 8 months, I feel really good again! I am almost off the prednisone, and my Enbrel and MTX does are stabilized for now. No more swelling in my knees. Very little swelling in my hand joints at the knuckle - just sometimes now. Even though I have to take these darn drugs, it wonderful to feel like a normal person again!
