  My boyfriend went on a 4-day booze and pills bender this past week/ weekend, which was incredibly hard for me to begin with.  He didn't call for days, said "he'd be home in a few", and never showed. Got his family involved too. This is the hundredth time this has happened. And every time I've taken him back because I believe in him and "know he'll get better on his own". Wrong. He always acts up again, only worse and worse each time. I love him. He is a good person. Some of my best memories...

  My partner doesn't drink all the time, but when he does, he can't stop. He cals out of work 1, 2+ days in a row to recover, but spends that time drinking even more. I call these binges. He binges maybe twice a month, then apologizes, and is "fine" for a couple weeks, until it starts again. Long story short, I know I have to leave. But I don't know how. We live together and I love him. He just doesn't love himself, and I can't have a future with someone I feel unsafe with. How do I leave?
