  I find it even more important lately to work on my goals as my "why"  has clearly changed.  My family goal,  i almost given up on that one but i told myself that i cant give that one up. I need to keep pushing forward!  I remember a quote that went something like "its always darkest before the dawn"  We all will get through this!

  For years I have avoided my family ,  my mom is a control freak and my sister is just mean and my dad is weird.  But long story short . Now that my kids are grown and on there own.  I realize I have taught them that family doesn't matter.  I have since started working on building a relationship with my mom.   Today is day one.  I let go completely and let god. This is something I have no control over so please god, take the wheel. It's all to hard for me all by myself.  I promise I will take care of me, eat good, exercise, set and achieve goals, always be kind, fix myself up every day to look nice, sleep well. You take the rest. I pray every day for my sons recovery and freedom

  im so worried about him  is anyone still active in this group,  i could really use someone to talk to,  he is 29 years old and burned bridges with everyone else in our family so i have no one to talk to about this
