  As you know, the H3N2 flu has been going around the United States, and I was wondering what we should know if we contract it.For instance, is it OK for us to take oseltamivir (Tamiflu)?  I've heard that peramavir can worsen MG: http://www.myastheniagravis.org/mg-and-drug-interactions/Has anyone gotten it while they are on immunosuppressants/steroids?  Has anyone had complications?  What can we expect?  Should we instantly go to urgent care/ER if we think we have it?I personally have only...

  I was at an ENT clinic today and had the doctor look at my ears because I think they had fluid in them.  He promptly picked up a bottle of ear drops and put them in my ear, explaining that they were an antibiotic.  I didn't think much of it because I've had topical neomycin/polymyxin b/hydrocortisone ear drops before with no problem and with the approval of my neurologist (caution is usually advised when using neomycin and polymyxin with myasthenia).  However, the script for the ear drops...

  Someone at work was diagnosed with the flu.  I don't have totally close contact with him, but he's on my team and sits a few cubicles away.  Does anyone have any advice as far as looking for signs, when to see the doctor, or can even just calm me down about worrying about it?  What's it like getting the flu on immunosuppressants?  Do you end up in the hospital?  I didn't get my shot yet this year (I was just thinking about it this morning before I found out!) but I normally do.
