  Has anyone on here ever dealt with intrusive thoughts? I've had them ever since I was little and they are very hard to get rid of once they pop into my head. I will try to think of anything else but the thoughts just seem relentless sometimes, especially the more troubling they get. Sometimes they are violent and gory as well, like if I pass a busy road or see road kill I can't help but thinking of gruesome endings for my children or pets for sometimes hours afterwards. Or if I see or hear...

  My anxiety gets the worst at night. I overanalyze my whole life along with the people around me. I think about all the things I've ever done wrong, the people I've hurt and anytime I've ever been ashamed of myself. Once it starts I can't stop it, it's like a freight train building momentum in my chest and in the pit of my stomach. I try to forgive myself, and I try to stop thinking completely, but it just doesn't stop. I want to feel sure and at peace with myself and I will think I'm doing so...
