  Hey, I am looking for advice on switching to healthy coping methods. For the past few years I have been scratching a spot on my head and now I have a scar there. I am still scratching that spot, but I want to stop and switch to a healthier coping method. I have tried to stop in the past and it works sometimes for a couple months but then I start again once I get stressed. Does anyone have any advice on how to stop or switch to something that is healthier.

  This may be kinda gross, but starting the begining of my junior year, I starting scratching my scalp. It began as me just scratching off scabs, but overtime it got to the point were I wouldnt let them heal and my head would start bleeding. I have groups of hairs shorter then the rest since the scratching causes some hair to fall out and I also have a problem of pulling on my hair.Now I have two small scars/bald spots, one of which is a little over a centimeter.
