I am a woman that had been married for over 20 years. I live in The Bahamas with my husband and 2 daughters, ages 13 and 6. I have suffered from panic attacks for more than 20 years, but was not officially diagnosed with anxiety and depression until 2007 - by a gastroenterologist. I was taking Paxil until I discovered I was pregnant with my last child. We have another challenge now as our 6 yr old was diagnosed last year as being on the Autism Spectrum. I have recently discovered that my aunt that had a hysterectomy a little over 2 years ago has had the cancer return - to her spine. Life is rough.

I am trying too. My 7 yr old has autism and is in a special school. My aunt (Mom's sister) is in advanced stages of cancer. My brother-in-law is about to have surgery for cancer. Hard to stay positive.

My aunt was in hospital 3 times last year, and now she is being admitted for the second time this year. While all of this was going on, my brother-in-law (sister's husband) has been consulting doctors about the best treatment for his cancer.I still have anxiety and depression, and still have an autistic now 7 yr old daughter. I can barely take care of me, but my daughter is depending on me.I am waiting for my cousins to call me back with the room number, and anything they know about my aunt's...

I got a call today telling me my aunt was in the process of being admitted to hospital again. She was badly dehydrated and "talking out of her head." When I spoke to my cousin this evening, she was in a room, but still saying strange things. I really wish I could do something to help my cousins through this. I hope this is not the final stages. I am not ready to let go yet.HUG everyone you love dearly. You never know what tomorrow will bring.Rosa
